VITICULTURE #07 | SPIRITUS

Spiritus (breath, breath, air, wind, vital spirit, inspiration, soul, courage) is the meeting of three musicians with a long and important artistic history:
Maurizio Camardi, a saxophonist who has long been engaged in research on ethnic wind instruments such as the Armenian duduk, the Chinese hulusi, and the harmonic flute; Sergio Cossu, a member of Matia Bazar for fifteen years, producer, pianist, and electronic alchemist; Mauro Palmas, one of Sardinia's musical icons with his string instruments (cantabile lute, mandoloncello, etc.) and his tireless ethno-musical research.
Joining them is Pierpaolo Vacca. Vacca began studying the accordion at the age of 6; in 2018, at the invitation of Paolo Fresu to the Time in Jazz festival, he gave a solo concert entitled “Jazz and popular tradition between past and future”. In 2019, he participated in the musik@work project in Dakar, contributing to the formation of the Sardinian-Senegalese group Gego' yego. He has collaborated with various artists, including Alberto Sanna, Francesco Fry Moneti, Modena City Ramblers, Andrea Pisu, and Jullien Cartonnet.

The concert will be held outdoors at the Terre dei Borghi farm. We recommend bringing a blanket and something to cover up with.

HOW TO GET THERE
Terre dei Borghi is located in Arquà Petrarca, on Via Pajone, a dirt road in the Euganean Hills Regional Park.

BY CAR
Once you arrive in Arquà Petrarca, head towards the Aganoor restaurant and continue towards Valle San Giorgio, keeping the restaurant on your right.
Follow the hairpin bends and at the end of the climb on the right you will find Via Pajone (a road that turns sharply from the road you are traveling on).
Directions to the parking lot will be provided at the beginning of the street.
We recommend that you do not set Via Pajone on your satnav and follow our directions instead.

ON FOOT
You can take a pleasant 15-minute walk by parking your car at Pianoro del Mottolone: https://goo.gl/maps/iVPnaTnNZC8kruD9A. From there, take Via Scalette towards Arquà Petrarca and after a few meters on the right you will find Via Pajone, the dirt road that will take you to the farm.

VITICULTURE is an artistic and cultural festival created in 2021 that provides an opportunity for listening, experimentation, and exchange, aimed at promoting the area through the expression of artists and musicians who contribute to these hills.
